Dustin Wedekind

Dustin Wedekind is the senior editor of Beadwork
magazine. He writes the popular column, Bead Boy, which allows
him to interact with readers and beads to find creative solutions
for beading.
He earned a BFA
in Fibers from Colorado State University, and began beading in 1994
while traveling throughout parts of Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.
His artwork has been featured in several shows including the Object
Bead 2000 Suburban Fine Arts Center in Illinois, Beadworks 1998
Dairy Barn with publication in their catalog Bead Art, The Beaded
Object 1996 Southern Highland Craftguild, and the Regional Artists
Show at the San Diego Art Institute.
From quilting, to beading, to spinning, to knitting, his artistic
interests always seem to start with a traditional craft medium to which
he gives a new twist.
