8” bracelet with beaded leaf fringe rings stacked and strung with other components;
sections of chain for charms

“I have oil painted for thirty-five years and enjoyed photography for twenty-eight years. I love color and composition. Beading was the missing link that finally allowed me to compose beautiful colors with my own hands. I've been captivated by beads now for a good four years. I was inspired to create something special for our vacation in Kauai, Hawaii, this year. So before we left, I put this piece together. The hibiscus sections were created by making a beaded ring with fringe of leaves and flowers. Several of these bead rings were stacked together to create the effect of a plant. I also added a section of chain to incorporate island-theme charms and abalone beads. The last two charms for the bracelet were purchased in Hawaii: a gecko and a dolphin. The center piece was simply a carved bone bead with beaded ‘ocean spray’ fringe on each side. I added red wooden beads to complete the color palette I wanted.”
