Interweave Press publishes high-quality nationally and internationally distributed magazines and books focusing on the fiber, beading, gem, and jewelry crafts. In addition to receiving numerous publishing awards for our niche publications, we are recognized as leaders in the enthusiast communities that we serve. We frequently have Spring, Summer and Fall internships available in the areas listed below. Our interns work approximately 10 hours per week and are compensated at a rate of $8.00/hour. Also, internship locations are located at all of our sites – Loveland, CO; Malvern, PA; Stow, MA; and NYC, NY.

Duties:
- Assist with communications to contributors/authors at end of publication cycle
- Assist in archiving magazine materials for past and future issues
- Assist in preparing one of the magazine departments for publication
- Research answers to reader questions received via phone, e-mail, or postal service
Other Activities:
Learn about editorial planning and how editorial integrates with design, production, and
marketing.
Skills Desired:
- Good written and oral (telephone) communication skills
- Well organized and able to juggle a variety of tasks
- Detail oriented
- Proofreading competency
- Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style
- Competent in Word, some experience with a data base program
- Internet research skills
- Interest in subject matter is desirable

Duties:
- Assist with communications to public relations sources
- Assist with copy writing for our in-house advertisements and other promotional pieces for Interweave books, magazines, and promotional events and activities
Other Activities:
Learn about the marketing cycle for niche books and magazines. See how marketing integrates with editorial, design, and production teams.

- Good written and oral (telephone) communication skills
- Well organized and able to juggle a variety of tasks
- Detail oriented
