The Organized Knitter
These beautiful handmade needle cases are the brainchild of Megan Reardon, who sews all the cases herself in her small Seattle studio. Durable and appealing, her fabric cases are as lovely as they are practical. Each of the seven varieties is designed to hold a combination of different types of needles, and all the cases feature clear vinyl card pockets allowing the knitter to label each type and size of needle for the ultimate in organization. The cases all have a ribbon and button tie closure, and interior flaps to protect your precious tools from scratching and falling out. Folding is easy and intuitive—but there are folding instructions included just in case you're feeling all-thumbs that day! There are several stylish and colorful fabrics to choose from, in both cotton and heavy silk; the price of each case varies according to the fabric chosen. These cases would make a perfect gift for any knitter. The combo straight/circular case will hold a variety of straight needles (and other tools) up to 14" tall, and has eight vinyl pockets specially sized for circulars.
The combo dpn/circular case is a compact when closed, yet opens to accommodate both a range of needles inside. It has eight wide fabric slots to accommodate varying sets of dpns, as well as four frosted vinyl pockets for circulars.
The circular needle case has twelve generous pockets to hold circulars, flexible needles, and other tools. All pockets are made out of sturdy frosted vinyl and have notecard pockets for easy identification.
The straight needle case is tall enough to hold needles 15" long, with a total of 18 slots. It also features smaller pockets, two with their own flaps, to hold smaller notions or tools.
The case designed for double-pointed needles will hold 32 sets of needles; the slots vary in width to accommodate sizes 0 to 15.
The chunky case has special slots that can accommodate up to size 35 straight needles, 16" long. There are four vinyl pockets for circular needles, as well as fourteen slots for straight needles and other tools.
Finally, the portable case with gadget pocket is designed to fit in your knitting bag, and will hold all the tools you need for a single project—or even a few small projects! There is a vinyl pocket for a circular needle, a second, smaller vinyl pocket for small tools, six slots that can accommodate straight needles or tool up to 12" long, and a vinyl gusseted pocket with a concealed zipper to hold all those oddly shaped bits and pieces that are essential to have on hand.
