SOAR lodging and meal rates are all-inclusive. Your meal package is for the duration of SOAR only. Vegetarian selections
are available. All lodging will be arranged with and paid directly to The Inn at Pocono Manor (theinnatpoconomanor.com).
Do not pay any lodging fees or indicate any lodging choices at this time. The Inn at Pocono Manor will offer pre-and post-
SOAR lodging-only accommodations on a space-available basis. Please wait until you receive your confirmation and lodging
information after June 9 before contacting The Inn at Pocono Manor.
Handicapped-accessible lodging rooms are available upon request. All general meeting rooms and all but one of the workshop
rooms are handicapped-accessible. If you have special needs, please inquire before making your workshop and lodging choices.
Rates are per person, per day and include one night’s lodging, three meals, taxes and gratuities.
Direct phone lines, high-speed wireless Internet access, daily maid service, and other amenities are provided.

*Rates are for participants only. Interweave requires that spouses/guests pay an additional $25 activity fee for a spouse
or guest who is staying at the resort and joining a participant at receptions, spin-ins, special programs, coffee breaks, and

For participants not staying at The Inn at Pocono Manor a la carte meals will be available for purchase. Additional information
will be provided with confirmation. |
If you are a confirmed SOAR participant looking for a roommate, you will be sent additional information with your
confirmation materials. You will need to make your own arrangements to share a room before you submit the lodging form to
The Inn at Pocono Manor; otherwise, you will be charged the single-room rate. Interweave Press and The Inn at Pocono Manor
will not be able to assign you a roommate. |
Plan to bring your wheel or ship it to SOAR. Most materials/fibers will be supplied for retreat sessions. Fibers will also be sold at the Spinners’ Market, and the spinning suppliers have always been most generous in providing samples for you to experiment with. If you have a special project for which you need some pointers (or just want uninterrupted spinning time), bring it along. Supply lists for workshops and retreat sessions will be sent to confirmed participants. |
Shuttle service is available from the Lehigh Valley International Airport in Allentown. |
In 1995, Interweave Press established a scholarship program to assist and encourage spinners to spread the craft of
handspinning to the larger community. This program is funded by generous donations from SOAR participants. The funds are
primarily used to provide scholarships for individuals to attend SOAR. Scholarship guidelines are posted on our website at

A full refund minus a $35 administration fee will be made until July 21, 2008. For cancellations from July 21–September 1, 2008, an administrative fee of $100 will be retained. Sorry, there are no refunds for cancellations made after September 1, 2008.
Lodging cancellations are made directly with The Inn at Pocono Manor and are subject to their cancellation policies. If a workshop does not have the minimum number of students by July 31, 2008, we will notify you about changing to another workshop. If you choose not to change to another workshop, SOAR will refund your full payment. |

Registration begins April 18, 2008, and will go live online at interweavesoar.com at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. Registrations can
be postmarked or faxed April 18 or submitted online up to and including April 25 to be included in the first-choice workshop
selection. If we have more registrations for a workshop than available spaces, a lottery drawing for that session will be held
from registrations received by April 25. You will be asked for first, second, and third choices for the workshop. Your chance of
being included is reduced if you indicate only one choice. Registrations that are postmarked, faxed, or submitted online after
April 25, 2008 will be confirmed on a space-available basis until September 26, 2008.
If you end up on the standby list, remain hopeful—cancellations do occur, and sometimes those ahead of you on the list can
no longer take advantage of an opening. In the event a session is filled before we receive your registration, please indicate
whether you would like to be on the standby list and until what date. |
One registration form serves for both workshop and retreat. Fill out the registration form and return it with your payment as specified on the form. You may register for one three-day workshop; however, please indicate your first, second, and third choices for the workshop. If you register for the retreat, you will receive confirmation, but registration for specific sessions is onsite (see retreat details). |
If your participation in SOAR depends on traveling with another participant, please attach a note to your registration stating such; both registrations will be treated as one in a lottery. We must, however, caution you that treating two registrations together in a lottery may reduce the chance of being included. (If one person’s class choices are full, the other person will not be confirmed even if there are openings in class choices). |
Confirmation of registrations will not begin until June 9, 2008. We will send confirmation of registration, detailed information about required equipment and supplies, lodging, any fees due, and other important information. |
