Let Your Imagination Run Wild!
Handwoven challenges you to tread new paths with sock yarn! Weave a project using sock yarn of your choice as the main design element, and enter to win fame, acclaim, and some pretty nifty prizes. Your entry can be any size, shape, or weave structure. Yarn of any fiber, color, or pattern is OK, as long as it is identified by the manufacturer as a sock yarn.
We’ll be awarding prizes for:
One (1) GRAND PRIZE BEST OF SHOW WINNER: Grand Prize Winner will receive a prize of $250 in cash and $250 worth of merchandise from Interweave Press
One (1) FIRST PLACE: MOST INNOVATIVE USE: Winner will receive a $200 gift certificate from Halcyon Yarn.
One (1) FIRST PLACE: MOST BEAUTIFUL USE: Winner will receive a $200 gift certificate from Webs – America’s Yarn Store.
One (1) FIRST PLACE: BEST HANDWOVEN SOCKS: Winner will receive a Cricket Rigid Heddle Loom from Schacht Spindle Company.

How to Enter
Send us two (2) photos for each entry: one complete image and one detail. You can upload your digital images via the upload form on our website , or email them with your name, address, and phone number to notjustforsocks@interweave.com. Please include a brief description of your project and the sock yarns and other yarns used.
All entry forms and images are due by midnight on February 28, 2010. Entry forms and images received after February 28, 2010, will not be judged. Printed photos or slides may be submitted according to these contest deadlines to: Not Just for Socks, Handwoven, 201 E. 4th St., Loveland, CO 80537.
What Happens Next
Photo entries will be judged by a selected panel and finalists will be contacted by March 3, 2010. The finalists will ship their pieces, at their own expense, to “Not Just for Socks” at the above address, for arrival on or before March 12, 2010, for the final judging and awarding of prizes. Winning pieces will be featured in the May/June 2010 issue of Handwoven and exhibited at Convergence 2010 in the Interweave booth.
Interweave Press will return all finalist entries to the entrants on, or before August 30, 2010.
