Brushed Mohair Cape (Zen Garden Palette) (165 KB)

This cape is luxurious, elegant, and soft—both the warp and the weft are mohair. The mohair fabric was brushed while undertension on the loom. The trim is made from a purchased Pendleton wool jacquard fabric in a contrasting color.

Bumberet Vest Fabric (Retro Palette)

The special features of this vest pattern are particularly suitable for Ruby Leslie’s unusual version of bumberet. One of the three treadling effects can be used for the body of thevest and another for the collar and cuffs.

Shadow Weaving and Network Drafting for a Hat

Summer and Winter Vest (Fall Harvest Palette) (145 KB)

In this fabric, a sequence of four colors alternateswith a background color in the warp. When the pattern weft floats on the back of the fabric, the warp colors show. When it floats on the face, the colors seem to disappear. Coordinating beads are prestrung on the tabby weft in selected places to look like small bubbles rising up in the columns of color.

Waffle-Weave Vest (Crayon Brights Palette) (200 KB)

This vest fabric uses the Crayon Brights palette in an unusual variation of waffle weave. Instead of the usual waffle-weave cells, in this fabric several strands of a thick variegated weft make a ribbon-like textured stripein the weft direction.
