Take a piece of the forest with you wherever you venture with the Genesee Mountain Poncho. The bold cable designs mimic trees, branches, and wood knots for an artistic take on natural elements. This poncho is worked from the bottom up in the round.

Pattern Details

FINISHED SIZE 45 (65)” circumference at lower edge, 16 1⁄4 (18 1⁄4)” circumference at neck, and 18 1⁄2 (18 3⁄4)” long. Poncho shown measures 45″ on a model with a 34″ bust.

YARN Sugar Bush Yarns Bold (100% extra fine superwash merino; 190 yd [174 m]/3 1⁄2 oz [100 g]): #3028 fir, 4 (6) balls.

NEEDLES Size 8 (5 mm): 16″ and 32″ circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS Marker (m); cable needle (cn); tapestry needle.

GAUGE 20 sts and 26 rnds = 4″ in Cable patt.
