Join Chris Cozen to learn fun and exciting techniques in acrylic paint!
In this two-part workshop, Chris explores a wide variety of surfaces and textures available to acrylic artists using a variety of painting techniques and tools.
In Part I, you’ll learn painting techniques using paper, synthetic surfaces such as Tyvek and Plexiglas, and gessoes and gels to learn the ways different surfaces react to acrylic paint.
In Part II, you’ll explore methods to add textures to your surfaces, from using color to create a visual pattern, layering with stencils and stamps, and building collage using torn paper.

Author Chris Cozen is a member of the Working Artist Program for Golden Artist Colors, Inc. She lectures and teaches throughout Southern California and is the author of several books on acrylic painting techniques. With a background in education Chris teaches workshops and classes to artists with a full range of experience.
