Description
Worked top down in stockinet shaped with short-rows, the Beech Leaf Shawl features a wide, scarf like shape and a leaf-inspired lace edging. The edging stitches are cast on and then joined at the end of each row to the live stitches at the bottom of the shawl body.
Finished Size: 55¾ (67, 78½)” wide and 12¼ (13¾, 15½)” deep. Shown in size 78½”.
Yarn: Shibui Knits Maai (70% superbaby alpaca, 30% fine merino wool; 175 yd
[160 m]/1¾ oz [50 g]): caffeine, 2 (3, 3) skeins.
Needles: Size 8 (5 mm).
Notions: Tapestry needle.
Gauge: 14 sts and 34 rows = 4″ in St st.
