Description
The Maligano Pendant is the perfect project for intermediate jewelry artists. Simple fabrication, soldering and metalworking techniques come together to make a colorful, romantic pendant.

Materials:
- 20 gauge sterling sheet
- 1×4 mm flat wire
- 4 inches 16-gauge sterling round wire
- 1 inch of 22-gauge sterling round wire
- Hard, med, easy wire solder rolled through the rolling mill on a tight setting or hammered flat
- 1 Maligano cabochon
- 1 amazonite cabochon
- 3.5 mm (ID) premade gold bezel tubeset
- 3.5 mm faceted dioptase or another emerald-green stone
Tools:
Metalwork: Rolling mill (optional), anvil or bench block, chasing hammer, flex shaft or Dremel, #55 drill bit, weighted rawhide mallet, jeweler’s saw, #4/0 sawblades, medium oval mandrel pliers, metal or automatic punch, small bowl for water, cut-off wheel, white silicone wheel on a mandrel, wire snips, hallmark and quality mark metal stamps, thin black Sharpie, tubesetter, ultrafine 3M sanding sponge, #2 and #4 needle files, flat nose pliers, round nose pliers, bezel pusher, Lasco 3.5mm 1/8 core drill
Soldering: Torch, flux, pickle, fire brick, pickle pot, sharp solder pick
Finishing: Red rouge, 1-inch white muslin buff on mandrel, liver of sulfur, small paint brush, Dawn detergent, toothbrush, brass brush, thin burnisher, safety glasses or Craft Optics
