Argyle socks made in the classic style, with an intarsia leg and foot worked flat and seamed. Sized for men and women.

Finished Size: Men’s medium: 10″ (25.5 cm) foot circumference and 10″ (25.5 cm) long from back
of heel to tip of toe. Foot length is adjustable.
Yarn: Sportweight (Fine #2). Shown here: Simply Socks Simply Solids (75% wool, 25%
nylon; 175 yd [160 m]/50 g): mocha (MC), 3 skeins; deep sea, magenta, tangerine,
and fiesta lime, 1 skein each.
Yarn Weight: #2 – Fine
Needles: Size 1 (2.25 mm): straight and set of 5 doublepointed (dpn). Adjust needle size
if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Marker (m); tapestry needle; stitch holders.
Gauge: 32 sts and 48 rnds = 4″ (10 cm) in colorwork patt.
