Description
The North Country Ruana is truly a statement garment. The fronts are worked separately from the bottom up, and then stitches are cast on across the back neck and the back is worked from the top down. The cable pattern is reversible and looks good from either side.

Finished Size 44” wide, 31” long in front and 24½“ long in back.
Specific Yarn Used Purl Soho Flax Down (43% baby alpaca, 42% extrafine Merino, 15% linen; 219 yd 200 m/3½ oz 100 g): #1263FD Rosewood Pink, 11 skeins (see Notes).
Needles Sizes 6 (4 mm) and 8 (5 mm): 32” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holder; tapestry needle.
Gauge 30 sts and 26 rows = 4” in charted patt on larger needle.
