Description
The Quivira Coat combines a long duster silhouette with Aran patterning for a rich and cozy sweater. Worked in pieces from the bottom up, with saddle shoulders, the jacket is then finished with a shawl collar and knitted belt.
Finished Size: Size 40 ¾ (44 ¾, 48 ¾, 52 ¾, 56 ¾)” bust circumference, with front bands not overlapped. Cardigan shown measures 40 ¾”, modeled with 6 ¾” of positive ease.
Yarn: Brown Sheep Company Nature Spun Worsted (100% wool; 245 yd [225 m]/3 1/2 oz [100 g]): #720 ash, 9 (11, 12, 13, 14) balls.
Needles: Ribbed bands and belt-size 6 (4 mm): 24″ and 60″ circulars (cir) and two double-pointed (dpn). Body-size 8 (5 mm): 24″ cir. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Markers (m); removable m; cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle; size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook; 1 large buckle.
Gauge: 24 sts and 28 rows = 4″ in Chart A patt on larger needle.
