Silky, Simone and Sidney Knitting Pattern Download

Seals are adorable creatures, and very different from the toys Barbara usually designs. She enjoyed the challenge of figuring out the flippers and the shape of the body and face. A soft, slightly shiny yarn gives a sense of smooth, wet skin and fur. Silky the Seal and Sidney the Merboy are suitable for ages 3 and up. Simone the Mermaid is suitable for ages 8 and up.

Yarn: Berroco Modern Cotton (60% pima cotton, 40% modal rayon; 209 yd [191 m]/3½  oz [100 g]): #1611 rocky point (brown; MC), #1608 gadwall (gray; CC1), and #1601 sandy point (cream; CC2), 1 skein each. Girl: #1628 iggy (orange; CC3), 1 skein. Boy: #1626 mackerel (lt green; CC3), 1 skein.
Needles: Size 5 (3.75 mm): straight. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
