Description

With these mitts, the designer punches up a simple, geometric stranded-knitting motif with horizontal stripes in contrasting colors. A fuzzy, haloed angora/wool blend makes stitches seem to dissolve into each other, creating an effect that is at once ordered and melting.

Finished Size: 7″ hand circumference.
Yarn: Classic Elite Fresco (70% wool, 20% alpaca, 10% angora; 164 yd [150 m]/50 g): #5379 purple haze (A), #5304 sugar blue (periwinkle; B), #5348 saxony blue (pale blue; C), #5335 peacock green (chartreuse; D), and #5301 parchment (off-white; E), 1 skein each.
Yarn weight: #2 – Fine
Gauge: 31 sts and 31 rnds = 4″ in charted patt on larger needles.
Needles: Sizes 2 (2.75 mm) and 3 (3.25 mm): set of 5 double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
